Just talking to my good friend, who also has an overwhelming passion for music - We were talking about guilty pleasures when it comes to songs. I'm sure everyone has a few songs they like, or listen to on repeat but will be embaressed to make it known for whatever reason. For me and Mr H, we don't give a shit really - We like, what we like XD

I get by with a little help from my friends

As not many of you know, i've been feeling a bit low recently.. I didn't make it known, as i usually don't.. but it's suprising how there's lack of communication with people these past months.. Don't get me wrong - It's been much needed. But seems like there's no one around sometimes, in the sense of closer friends.

Just wanna say thanks to Mr Andreou, who spent time chatting to me until i was my usual self again, and reminded me of all the positive things about life, and how we should pretty much treasure each day. Sounds obvious and generic, but it's something we all take for granted in our own ways.

So, i hope everyone is well and dandy - Just a little video for everyone out there to reflect.

I'm not going to go into it, but just wanna say anyone who deals/takes drugs is a lowlife fucking waster for it.
I don't care who you are. It's just pathetic.
I don't care who does it - I'll always despise drugs, and i have more than enough reason to.

I've seen people get so fucked off their faces, and think they're clever, then i've seen them a year down the line not being able to even comprehend everyday life things and string a sentence together because their brains have been frazzled from all the shit they've taken. Sound cool to you? I think not.

Sleepy

Today's been pretty eventful in it's own right. I've handed in my psychology essay, done a group presentation and then came home to a bunch of revision. Yay >:( It's okay, i'm coping.. but i am soo sleepy. Could really do with a cuddle too, so if there are any takers out there? :)

Aswell as all the frustration i've been experiencing lately, i'm now craving something else i don't have here right now - Dweebs & Nerds. Yes that's right, Milhouse isn't 'round my house, nor is Harry Potter. XD

Ramblings

Pleased to see how the psychology group presentation is coming along, looking good, girls. I'm sure Piaget himself would be proud :)
At the moment just hoping i passed my psychology exam - I tried damn hard so hopefully, but i'll keep you updated when i get the results on Thursday.

I've been quite consumed in work lately so i appologise for not being around much, but when the next holidays hit, it's fun time :D As for today, it's Mia time :)
Looking forward to catching up with some friends i haven't seen in a while, some of my old college lot for one, miss them lots..

There's a few things in the back of my mind im anxious about, but i'm sure things will fall into place soon. In the meantime it's just work, work, work as a distraction.

Still want to see 'My Bloody Valentine'. Went to see it on Friday but cinemas were packed out, so just going to wait for a bit, and wait for a bit more 'till Twilight comes out on dvd - Hopefully with lots of special features!
Speaking of films, if you haven't seen it - You must see 'Death Sentence'.
It's out on dvd, not the newest of films, but trust me when i say it is BRILLIANT.. Sad, interesting and Kevin Bacon's acting is amazing.. :O

School's out!

Just finished my work experience placement and got an awesome review, really happy :) Sad that i have to leave the kids behind, but i have another lot to look forward to next month! I'm looking forward to being able to use the interactive whiteboards alot more too, they're excellent..

Tuesday Afternoons

Hai all :)

I'm currently at home on my day off, but as usual it's not gonna be a relaxing one. I have a pile of work that's waiting for me.
And yeah, i'm pretty much distracted already. I think i've found my first tattoo design.. it's a simple symbol that i'm gonna get on my hip which i can possibly extend on in the future. The little cross on my wrist i still want, but i think it's smart to wait a bit for that one..

Last day of primary school placement tommorow :( then i have like a month to find another one. Looking forward to it, although gonna miss my old school and their rockish ways :D

Party Time!

Got home not long ago from my best mates appartment near her uni in Ealing. Had a wicked time, everyone was lovely and the drive there and back was like a mini rave XD

Being up there from yesterday afternoon 'till late today gave me lots of time to think about everything, and i can deffinitely say i had lots of fun!
Sam's suprise party was funky, even though it got gatecrashed by about 50 odd people from the uni and didn't end 'till way after 4:00am XD But it was worth it to see Sam's face when everyone jumped out of nowhere and shouted 'SUPRISE!' :)

Or does anybody else think that driving in the evening when it's foggy, all the street lights seem slightly blurred and the air looks frosty is amazing? :) Wow.

I think i'm getting a dvd-purchasing addiction.. I can't stop buying films lately, and as they're so cheap these days, it gives me even more of an excuse. I mean, i don't smoke, or do drugs so i guess this is one of my vices :D

Been looking for quite a few not-so recent films lately too..
I bought 'The notebook' and 'City of angels' the other day. The notebook is a cute, chick flicky film, and city of angels i'm yet to watch. It has Goo Goo Doll's 'Iris' in it, so it's got an advantage already!

Road trip tommorow, woop!

Oh my are you in for a suprise..

Free

New year, new start and all that shabizzle. Well proud of myself because i'm doing the majority of things i swore i would before the start of the new year. One other thing i want to do is take up a new activity. At the moment I'm liking the idea of kickboxing or some other high energy activity :D

I've not made it a point to write a list of resolutions, because that's like sooo 10 years ago!However, what i do plan to do is try lots of new things out, explore stuff and check out things/places i haven't before whilst paying more attention to the things in life i'd usually just walk past without a second thought.

& Maybe, just maybe the right person might come along for me too, 'cos right now I haven't been found by 'em, just people that aren't right for me :( So who knows what 2009 could bring eh?!

I hope 2009 is a good year for everyone.
Remember, life is what you make it!

Twilight.

Two words to describe this film - Amazingly AWESOME!

Seriously, you must go see it. It exceeded all my expectations (and they were great - especially with Paramore being a part of the soundtrack). Similar to the film 'Blood and Chocolate', only 100 times better. Will be getting this on Bluray as soon as it comes out :D Yup, i thought it was THAT good.

The fact that the vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) was so damn sexy.. made the film even better ;) Jonathon Rhys Meyers has BIG competition! XD

I feel somewhat happy today as i got offered a permanent position at my workplace. My manager asked if i was okay with that as i was quiet, but to be honest i was just shocked because in these times, these 'credit crunch times' being offered/maintaining a job isn't easy.

Another thing that made me smile, mainly out of being freaked out, was the Indian guy that tried chatting me up in the queue at work (i had to escort him to the tills with a phone for security purposes).
The conversation went a bit like this:

Customer: :) So are you British?
Me: Yep, you?
Customer: No, i am from India
Me: Ah that's nice
Customer: Yes, you are welcome anytime!
Me: Umm.. thanks..
Customer: *Looks at nametag* Do you know your name means 'My future' in Indian?
Me: Nope, but i do now
Customer: Nice shop, nice place..

By this time customer is at till. I leave him and go check stock of something.
Customer stands there waiting.

Me: Everything okay sir?
Customer: Yes, wanted to know if you want to go for a cup of tea sometime? You are very beautiful.
Me: Thanks, my boyfriend thinks so too. *I walk away* Take care!

Customer leaves at that point.

Desperate for a visa much? I think so.
I really don't get wtf is going on in the shop these days...
It's becoming quite a frequent thing getting approached by weirdos.
Anyone would think it was speed-dating for refugees or something!

Realisation

Do you ever get it when something you would usually find fun, or appealing (in any way) just doesn't seem to interest you anymore?

& the realisation that it isn't your kinda scene anymore hits you suddenly, and you wonder why you didn't feel like this earlier?

Well they say don't regret anything that made you smile (to an extent) and i don't.

It's just weird how some people progress in life and grow up, whilst others just carry on doing the same thing day in and day out and act like it's still 'cool' when it's really quite pathetic. Years ago, maybe. But now? Seriously.. Grow up. (Y)

Anyways, that's just something that upon realisation has made me happier (i won't go into detail). But JJ, as you say - True friends eh ;)

Hope everyone had a good new years eve. I spent it with my bestest mate in the whole world - Justy :) and some significant others. Was truly awesome - A great start to 2009. Love you guys! xxx
